I'm new to the Potter phenomenom. I want to read the books first and then watch the movies as I finish each book. They are 7 books and 4 movies so I'm confused as to which movies cover what books. I just finished the first book but I don't want to watch the movie yet if it also covers things from the second book. Can someone fill me in?
Can someone give a breakdown of which Harry Potter books correspond with which movies?
The five movies correspond with the first five books, the 6th movie is in the making.
First: HP and the philosopher's stone (movie)
Second: HP and the chamber of secrets (movie)
Third: HP and the prisoner of azkaban (movie)
Fourth: HP and the goblet of fire (movie)
Fifth: HP and the order of the phoenix (movie)
Sixth: HP and the half-blood prince (movie in the making)
Seventh (final): HP and the deathly hallows
Every movie follows the events of it's corresponding book, there is no overlap, read book one, watch movie one, etc.
Reply:The movies and books have the same names.
Reply:Each movie only covers one book.
Reply:There are 5 movies, actually, and only because the rest are still in the making. The last thing you need to worry about is overlap; they're actually splitting the last book into 2 movies. Read the book, then watch the corresponding movie. You may have to wait a bit for the last 2, but read the last book anyway.
Reply:The movies go in order and correspond with each book. like 1st book = 1st movie and 2nd book= 2nd movie and so forth. The movies dont really cross the books, so no worries ;)
Reply:The films coincide chronologically with the books, i.e. The first book Philosophers Stone goes with the film of the same name, then it's Chamber of secrets, then prisoner of azkaban, then goblet of fire and then order of the phoenix. The last two books; Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows have not yet been made into films (half-blood prince is currently in production) anyway, hope you enjoy :)
