What are some good trombone technique books?

I've been playing the trombone for about 7 years now,but for the past 3 1/2 years I've felt like I haven't really improved anymore. So I was wondering if there are any good technique books out there that I could get to help me out. Any personal tips that you might have yourself would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

What are some good trombone technique books?
Rubank Advanced method for trombone vol 1 and 2

Melodious Etudes for trombone---Rochut

if you want a fun challenging alto/tenor clef studies book:

Clef studies for trombone---Blazhevich
Reply:Jamey aebersold scaly syllabus is fantastic for beginning solo knowledge for jazz. Any trombone soloist should look at no matter how good you are.Between that and the other things he has made you bound to learn something Report It

Reply:technique books never did me any good. i would suggest private lessons if you could afford it. i went because in college they make you do private lessons as a music major but it was one of the best things i ever did. i had a cool instructor and he tought me the secret to high notes that i could never hit (high c and above) the secret by the way is air pressure.
Reply:Fortunately Trombones borrow music from Bassoonists. :)

Weisenborn is the MAIN book for bassoon.

Also, a Rubank Methods book for Trombone would be good.

Weisenborn has small studies in it, it will help you develop gradually. I did it with a private instructor but you can do it on your own. Eventually it takes you from Bass Clef into Tenor Clef and it definitely stretches you musically there too. :)
Reply:"Arban's Complete Method for Trombone" is a must for any trombone player. It has techniques that are a great routine for beginners and professionals alike.

Also consider "Melodious Etudes for Trombone" by Rochut. This book is great for developing legato playing.

I hope this helps.
