What is an awesome series of books with animals as the main characters?
The Chronicles of Narnia has several books in it. I know I've read about 3 or 4. Not all of them. The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe has animals. The Horse and his Boy does as well. Try the Barnes and Noble website.
Reply:The Astrosaurs series by Steve Cole. If you're about 8 - LOL

The dinosaurs didn't die when a meteor struck but went into space and now live in the Jurassic Quadrant, patrolled by the DSS (Dinosaur Space Service). Captain Tegs Stegosaur and his crew are cool!!
Reply:I would suggest "Watership Down" ,by Richard Adams.

It's about a group of rabbits in England that have to find a new home. It's told from the point of view of the rabbits.

It creates a whole world of rabbit mythology, and language.

The good rabbits have to battle against a rival group of rabbits that live in a kind of military warren.

It 's really an extraordinary novel. It was very successful, and was made into an animated film.

Anyone should enjoy it.It's not a "boy book",or a "girl book",and is certaintly not for children.

I think you would get alot out of it based on what you say you enjoy.

There is a sequel, but it's far inferior to the first.
Reply:Redwall by Brian Jaques
Reply:Duncton wood; Duncton Quest; %26amp; Duncton Found by William Horwood is a series about moles that is quite good, especially the first book.

I would also highly recommend Watership Down as well as The Plague Dogs by Richard Adams.

Redwall is also a good series, although I have only read the first few.
Reply:Animal Farm
Reply:Animorphs!
