I know there are some books about moving to the UK but they seem to be for permanant moves over rather than temporary and include things like buying houses, etc which I don't want. Thanks!
Are there any good books for Australians moving to the UK on a 5 year working visa?
You didn't give enough information. How old are you? Are you going alone? Are you going to a job? What type of work will you be doing? Will you want time to play? I was there for two years and had a great time - working holiday - we just took jobs in hotels that offered room and food with the wage - didn't make a fortune but had an absolute blast and earned enough to live on and travel on. London is VERY VERY expensive for accommodation. Backpackers' hostels are much better in Europe than in Australia. When we travelled around Europe we used backpackers and had really lovely, clean, cheap accommodation and food. Go for it - you'll love it but don't stay too long in London..
