How do i get the smell of mouse pee out of books?

I had a box of books in storage and a mouse got to them. They aren't chewed or stained, they just smell. I'd rather not throw them away, any suggestions?

Baking soda - lots of it sprinkled through the pages of your books. Wait a week then vacuum. You should notice a distinct reduction in the smell. You may wish to repeat the process.
Reply:Other than airing the books out there isn't much you can do. The fabric softener sheets may help but the baking soda powder then vacuum idea won't work as it will tear the books apart. Plus depending on how long the books have been in storage and how old they are they will need to be handled delicately. You could spray near them but not on them with something like Glen 20. :)
Reply:Try a pet store for an odor remover. I use odorz out which you can also find online to purchase, it is granules that soak up odors like a sponge.
Reply:I saw on TV one time to help make books smell better to put fabric softener sheets in side and put in a sake for a day or so
