My sister is always stealing my books that are waay to old for her, her reading level is very high, but I dont want her reading the trashy romance novels.
What are some adult books that are easier to read for teenagers?
Maximum Ride series by James Patterson is a great book for young adults. Good role model, good plot and all that good stuff. It's /nothing/ like The Clique and those other trashy teen novels. You didn't mention her age but I'm assuming that she is old enough to read any of the following books/authors
Agatha Christie
Sherlock Holmes
Christopher Moore
F. Scott Fitzgerald
The Dragon Riders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey
The Princess Who Believed in Fairy Tales: A Story for Modern Times by Marcia Grad
The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway
We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson
The Giver by Lois Lowry
The Alchemist by Paul Coelho
The Amber Chronicles by Roger Zelazny
The EarthSea cycle by Ursula K. Le Guin
The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff
The Te of Piglet by Benjamin Hoff
Frankenstein by Marry Shelley
Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson
