What books are good for a Forensic Science degree?

I am due to start a Bsc(Hons) in Forensic Science starting in September and was wondering if anyone had done the course and what books I could use that would be beneficial for me to buy. I have looked in waterstones and all they have are Biology and Chemistry books etc. I want a specific book to follow the syllabus for the degree. Any help would be greatfully appreciated :-)

What books are good for a Forensic Science degree?
"Crime Scene To Court" is a good one. Most forensics students have this one. It explains things in quite an informal way, so it's very interesting. The other good one is "Practical Skills in Forensic Science" as it has all the information about the machines you use, reports you write, etc. All in all it is the most useful for your studies. Enter these titles into something like Amazon and it will come up.

Forensics is a lot of normal science, it is just that you apply it to a crime rather than something else. So for things like chemistry and law books, I'd wait till you get there, as the Uni will have book lists, but the forensics books are worth getting, if you can afford it.

Anything else you want to know about Forensics, please just ask.
