What proof for removing books of faith from prisons?

What if any proof do they have for wanting to remove books of faith from prisons? They say they don't want prisons to be Islamic recruiting grounds, but has something happened before to cause this?

I ask because for my writing 122 class I wrote why it is a constitutional violation, but now I have to argue the other side and I honestly can't think or find anything to support this.

What proof for removing books of faith from prisons?
them being prisoners i dont think they are entitled to anything accept the basics to keep them living. if they get books then they should consider themselves lucky, they cant be picky about which ones they get. if it were up to me they wouldnt have anything.
Reply:Think again JJ. Where does it describe the islam teachings as faith??? Not on my watch.
Reply:Try the Department of Justice or Bureau of Prisons site.
Reply:there is no constitutional justification for removing books strictly used for faith worship from any place within the United States; however, if the books give lip service to the Islamic faith, and the bulk of the material is to recruit warriors to sacrifice themselves and murder innocent people, that is entirely different.

what has to happen is this: the prisons must enlist strictly academically trained linguists to interpret the books to make sure they are used only for worship purposes and nothing else; most prisons and states are unwilling to do this.

remember; it is extremely true that when we sacrifice our liberty for security, we have, and deserve, neither.

While precautions must be taken in every phase of life to keep innocent people free from unjust punishment and harm, to remove only the religious tracts of one sect would be abject discrimination.

you have a difficult conundrum here. keep it short, simple and meaningful; strictly use the safeguard argument to keep books claiming to be religious but in fact being something else.

i wish you a lot of luck; my son is in prison for 30 years on a charge that has been proven another man committed; and we have a judicial system that said, who cares, tough luck; and let him rot in prison. so i have spent 30 years visiting my only child in prison, and have not had a happy moment in my life for 30 years. my son is a devout orthodox catholic and has worked to help others his entire life behind bars.

he would put his life on the line to keep his religious study books; and i am sure many orthodox islamists feel the same ...

god bless you.
