Reply:I don't necessarily have favorite books or authors. It's what I happen to pick up and does it grab me quickly. I can't stand an author that drags a tale on and it seems to be going no where in particular. Get my interest and if you need to slow down later, fine...but make it worth my while to lay my money on the counter or the book will not be purchased or read by me. I love epic length books. The last I was reading was titled "Pillars of the Earth". I was reading it to my husband before he passed away. I couldn't bring myself to finish it after he died. I just remember crying when a key character died and my husband holding me because it upset me that the author would kill her off...he died in a car accident the following day.
